What would you do?

if you couldn't do the thing you loved most. Or is there a person out there who can change what they love at any point in time? You see, I love to practice, play, and perform music. But it seems that my voice is working against me right now. Nevertheless, I still cannot imagine doing something else. It is weird. It is like music is some kind of symbiotic being. My life depends on it (in some odd way), and it feeds on me- but gives me life. What is that? Anyway, enough ranting. Enjoy this clip sung by Andreas Scholl. The male voice is an amazing beast (Beast- a positive term for an amazing, polished human product of any kind).

  1. Ronnie, I struggle with vocal problems always. For me I realized years ago that I enjoy my life so much more not having to worry about my voice, and I chose to make singing an avocation rather than have the stress with a full-time career as a singer. I personally have found other ways to pursue my interests/music without the pressure of having to keep my voice perfectly healthy all the time. You'll figure out what works for you. If you want to sing, you'll make it work. If you want to take the pressure off, something else amazing will come along. That's the fun part of life. You never know what incredible new thing you'll discover tomorrow.
